Senior SAP HANA Data Engineer

Position Title: Senior SAP HANA Data Engineer Location: Orlando, FL (100% Remote – EST Hours) Position Status: Long-Term Contract with Strong Potential for Conversion Pay Rate: $75/hour Position Description: Seneca Resources is seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP HANA Data Engineer to support enterprise-scale data engineering and analytics initiatives for a large, complex environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on data professional with deep expertise in SAP HANA, ETL development, SAP BODS, Apache NiFi, and enterprise data warehousing. The ideal candidate is passionate about building scalable data solutions, optimizing ETL workflows, troubleshooting production issues, and driving operational efficiency through automation and modern data engineering practices. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and optimize SAP HANA database solutions and ETL workflows • Build and maintain SAP BODS, Informatica, and Apache NiFi jobs and pipelines • Develop database views, replicate tables, and support enterprise data integration initiatives • Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues while ensuring system stability and performance • Implement automation, monitoring, and operational guardrails to improve ETL efficiency and reliability • Conduct impact analysis, data lineage assessments, and support upcoming system and process changes • Develop reporting and analytics solutions to support data-driven business decisions • Create and maintain technical documentation, data mappings, and process documentation • Ensure compliance with data governance, data quality, and data security standards • Support enterprise data warehouse initiatives and large-scale analytics environments • Collaborate with cross-functional teams supporting ERP, PLM, MES, and related enterprise systems • Utilize AI-enabled tools and modern technologies to improve operational effectiveness and delivery speed Required Skills/Education: • Bachelor’s degree with 6–8 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience • 6+ years of experience with SAP HANA database development and administration • 6+ years of experience with ETL tools including SAP BODS, Informatica, and Apache NiFi • Strong experience with SQL, Hadoop/Big Data technologies, and SAP BusinessObjects • Experience developing enterprise data warehouse and reporting solutions • 3+ years of experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau • Experience performing impact analysis, data lineage, and data mapping activities • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices • Experience supporting ERP, PLM, MES, or similar enterprise business systems • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Experience implementing automation and process optimization initiatives • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment supporting EST business hours Preferred Keywords: SAP HANA, SAP BODS, Apache NiFi, Informatica, ETL Development, Data Engineering, Data Warehouse, SQL, Hadoop, Big Data, Tableau, SAP BusinessObjects, Data Governance, Data Lineage, ERP, PLM, MES, Automation, Enterprise Analytics, Data Integration, SAP Data Engineer About Seneca Resources At Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm — we are a trusted career partner.
