Senior SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Consultant

OverviewWe are seeking an experienced SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Specialist to lead and manage enterprise data processes within our organization. This role involves overseeing data quality, consistency, and compliance across various business units, utilizing advanced data management tools and methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP MDG, data analytics, and project management, with a focus on ensuring accurate and reliable master data for strategic decision-making. Duties Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of SAP Master Data Governance processes to ensure high-quality master data across the enterprise. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data standards, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational goals. Manage data integration workflows using ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or similar platforms to ensure seamless data flow between systems. Develop and optimize database designs for data warehouses and big data platforms utilizing SQL, Oracle, and other relational database technologies. Utilize analytical tools such as Tableau and Python for data analysis, visualization, and reporting to support business insights. Oversee data collection, cleansing, validation, and enrichment activities to maintain accurate master records. Implement Agile project management methodologies to coordinate multiple initiatives efficiently. Lead efforts in database design and management of linked data and semantic web technologies for enhanced data interoperability. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to SAP MDG and associated data systems. Provide leadership in training team members on best practices in data governance and management. Qualifications Security Clearance - Secret or Top Secret Level. Proven experience with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) implementation and administration. Strong knowledge of SQL, Oracle databases, ETL tools (Informatica, Talend), and data warehousing concepts. Familiarity with big data technologies and platforms such as Hadoop or Spark is a plus. Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation tasks. Experience with Tableau or other BI tools for reporting and visualization. Solid understanding of data collection methods, database design, linked data concepts, and semantic web standards. Project management skills with experience applying Agile methodologies in complex projects. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret large datasets for actionable insights. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to guide teams through technical challenges and strategic initiatives. Effective communication skills to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders. This role is integral to maintaining the integrity of our enterprise master data environment while supporting ongoing digital transformation efforts through innovative analytics solutions. Integration with SAP MDG and other SAP / non-SAP systems and implement integrations using SAP integration technologies such as IDoc, RFC, BAPI, Web services and MuleSoft. Develop testing strategies and oversee quality assurance activities for SAP MDG implementations.
