Senior Server Administrator

Sr. Tableau Server Administrator 6-12 month Contract to Hire We are hiring a Tableau Developer to join our Telecommunications client in the Greater St. Louis area. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team responsible for maintaining Tableau, Alteryx, and SAS for the entire enterprise. They will be responsible for effectively utilizing features and best practices of Tableau and visual analytics to maximize impact and utility of visualization products. Responsibilities • Defining, executing and interpreting complex/nested SQL queries • Working with the team to define standards and best practices for dashboards and related technologies • Creating Tableau scorecards, dashboards using stack bars, bar graphs, scattered plots, geographical maps, line/pei graphs and Gantt charts • Building prototypes for demonstrations and illustration purposes Minimum Requirements • 5+ years Tableau System Administrator experience • Ability to lead and drive decisions surrounding Tableau and their current/future environment • Experience establishing best practices and processes within Tableau • Experience with SQL • Experience connecting to Hadoop/Hive, Teradata, Oracle, SharePoint etc. (Nice to have) • Experience working with Oracle, SQL and PostgreSQL databases. • Experience with Agile and scrum methodologies and processes. • Ability to gather requirements from business teams to decide what reports are needed • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
