Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Systems Analyst 3 to serve as a Snowflake Administrator responsible for managing, securing, optimizing, and governing the enterprise Snowflake platform. The selected candidate will support data platform operations, enable Snowflake Cortex AI capabilities, implement governance and access controls, and collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and AI teams to support enterprise data initiatives.
This role requires extensive experience administering Snowflake environments, implementing enterprise security and governance frameworks, supporting data pipelines, automating platform operations, and ensuring scalable, cost-effective performance across environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze business objectives, operational processes, and technical requirements to identify solutions and improvements.
• Perform studies and cost-benefit analyses of alternative technical approaches.
• Gather and document user requirements, system capabilities, and functional specifications.
• Evaluate system limitations, capabilities, and feasibility of requested enhancements.
• Administer and optimize the Snowflake data platform across enterprise environments.
• Design, implement, and manage role-based access control (RBAC) and data governance frameworks.
• Configure and support Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations with enterprise identity management solutions such as Okta and SailPoint.
• Enable, govern, monitor, and support Snowflake Cortex AI capabilities and related AI functions.
• Design and manage Snowflake roles, privileges, and user provisioning processes aligned with enterprise IAM standards.
• Build, maintain, and support data pipelines and transformations using DBT.
• Integrate Snowflake with OpenFlow or similar workflow orchestration tools for automation.
• Monitor and optimize warehouse utilization, query performance, and platform costs.
• Implement and maintain security controls including encryption, data masking, auditing, and monitoring.
• Develop automation scripts for provisioning, monitoring, maintenance, and operational support.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and AI teams to enable analytics and data-driven business solutions.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 8 years of experience administering the Snowflake platform in a DBA or Administrator capacity.
• Minimum 8 years of experience implementing RBAC and enterprise data access governance.
• Minimum 8 years of experience integrating Snowflake with SSO solutions such as Okta and SailPoint.
• Minimum 8 years of experience enabling and supporting Snowflake Cortex AI features, including governance and monitoring.
• Minimum 8 years of experience designing and managing Snowflake roles, privileges, and user provisioning processes.
• Minimum 8 years of experience building and supporting data pipelines and transformations using DBT.
