Role description
Contract Length: 6 months to start (strong likelihood of extending) Hybrid: T/W/Th in office , M/F Remote Are you a BA who can write SQL as well as you write User Stories? We are looking for a Senior Technical BA to bridge the gap between complex Accounting Workflows and Scalable Engineering. The Role: We aren't looking for a "scribe." We need a Technical Liaison for our Back-Office Financial Ecosystem. You will be the bridge between the Product Owner’s vision and the Development Team’s execution. This role sits at the intersection of General Ledger logic and Database Architecture. If you thrive on untangling data discrepancies and mapping complex financial flows, this is for you. Why this role is unique: • Deep Data Ownership: You won’t just "gather" requirements; you will query SQL databases to validate data integrity and identify gaps before they reach the dev team. • Financial Impact: You’ll be optimizing the engines that power our accounting and operational efficiency—no "fluff" projects here. • Process Architect: You’ll use Visio/Mockup tools to visualize the "To-Be" state for high-stakes financial transformations. The "Must-Haves" (Our Hard Filters): • 5+ Years in SDLC: You’ve lived through the full lifecycle of complex software builds. • SQL Proficiency: You can join 4+ tables, identify data anomalies, and write queries to validate that what’s on the screen matches what’s in the DB. • Back-Office Experience: You understand the fundamentals of accounting apps, ERPs, or financial reconciliation. • Story Granularity: You don't write "As a user, I want a button." You write detailed stories with edge-case-driven Acceptance Criteria that a developer can actually build from. • Visual Communication: Pro in Visio/LucidChart to map complex business logic.
