Job Title: SQL Server Data and Analytics Specialist Job #: 8463 Location: Portland, OR metro area Duration: 1+ year contract Overview: β€’ Working as part of a high functioning team, the SQL Server Data and Analytics Specialist is responsible for developing, supporting, and optimizing robust solutions in SQL Server for Legal Services projects β€’ Defines and develops solutions with minimal direction through collaboration with Solutions Architects and consultation with Project Managers β€’ Thinks strategically, with an equal focus on developing and communicating practical solutions that exceed client expectations β€’ Is detail oriented but flexible, ready to adapt to changing needs and priorities, cycling in and out of projects and embracing alternative paths to solutions β€’ Enjoys the challenge of solving complex (and potentially under-defined) problems as a member of a high-performance team Responsibilities: β€’ Develop, debug, and test T-SQL code to address a wide range of technical and analytical problems β€’ Determine and implement effective strategies to explore, analyze, interpret, standardize, and conform complex datasets β€’ Collaborate with team members to determine the sufficiency of data and ensure alignment in requirements β€’ Assist Solutions Architects in the development of data processing plans that address the custom needs of each project β€’ Interface with business stakeholders to identify new and/or clarify existing requirements β€’ Manage and prioritize assigned tasks, ensuring deadlines are achieved, communicating appropriately about progress and obstacles Knowledge/Experience: β€’ 5+ years' experience in leading the development of technical solutions β€’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or related fields) strongly preferred β€’ Ability to understand complex business processes and adapt solutions to meet the needs of the business β€’ Excellent communication skills for collaborative interaction with peers, managers, and business stakeholders β€’ Comfortable in consultative interactions, able to clearly and confidently articulate both challenges and solutions to non-technical stakeholders β€’ Must enjoy and have experience working in a fast-paced environment, able to quickly realign with shifting priorities Technical Skills: β€’ 10+ years' experience with SQL Server and/or other relational databases β€’ Advanced/expert level knowledge and experience working with SQL Server and/or in the development of T-SQL code β€’ Proficient in tuning T-SQL queries and/or in the optimization of database server performance β€’ Experience performing complex data analysis of very large datasets Pre-Employment Requirement All employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of our pre-employment screening that may include drug testing, background/criminal check, and if applicable, must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
