Position Summary
The Senior Supply Chain Analyst plays a pivotal role in optimising end-to-end supply chain operations through advanced data analysis, modelling, and process improvement. This role supports strategic decision-making by delivering actionable insights across planning, inventory, logistics, and supplier performance. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in Excel and other analytical tools, with working knowledge of coding languages to automate and enhance reporting and forecasting capabilities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1 Analyse supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction and service improvement.
2 Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Excel (including Power Query, PivotTables, VBA) and BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
3 Build predictive models and simulations to support demand forecasting, inventory optimisation, and capacity planning.
4 Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Finance) to align supply chain strategies with business goals.
5 Support S&OP processes by providing data-driven insights and scenario modelling.
6 Automate data workflows and reporting using Python, SQL, or R where applicable.
7 Monitor KPIs and performance metrics, and present findings to senior leadership.
8 Evaluate and implement supply chain technologies and digital tools to improve operational efficiency.
9 Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
Requirements
Educational Requirements
Bachelorβs degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field.
Professional Work Experience Requirements
Strong experience in supply chain analytics or related roles, ideally within life sciences, biotech, or FMCG.
Proven experience in using Excel for complex data analysis and reporting.
Hands-on experience with analytical tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SAP, Oracle).
Working knowledge of Python, SQL, or R for data manipulation and automation.
Strong understanding of supply chain planning concepts, inventory management, and logistics.
Experience and Skills
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
