Role description
Location: Plano, TX, Fully Onsite (Seeking local candidates) Employment Type: 12 + month contract to (hire + multi-extension capability) Rate: 39.72 /hr. W2 Position Summary We are seeking a results-oriented Senior Supply Chain & Demand Planning Analyst to lead key supply chain processes and drive our Production, Sales, and Inventory (PSI) strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for aligning demand forecasts, securing sales and production visibility, and collaborating closely with Product Managers, Key Account Managers, Sales, and Finance teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at complex data analysis, and possesses the strategic foresight to balance short-term execution with long-term revenue growth. Key Responsibilities • PSI & Demand Planning Leadership: Prepare comprehensive materials for Demand Planning (PSI) and executive business update meetings. Present critical supply and demand insights to drive key business decisions. • Forecast Optimization & RTF Visibility: Develop and refine planning models to enhance sales and production visibility. Improve Return to Forecast (RTF) logic and performance tracking. • Process Analysis & Quality Assurance: Examine supply chain documents, materials, and workflows to assess completeness, accuracy, and strict adherence to operational standards and specifications. • Demand Review & Variance Analysis: Support the broader demand review process through accurate forecast inputs, detailed variance analysis, and routine performance reporting. • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate supply chain bottlenecks, forecast deviations, and inventory imbalances to identify root causes and implement corrective action plans. • Inventory Management: Requisition and maintain appropriate inventory levels of materials and supplies required to meet production targets and customer demand seamlessly. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead collaborative alignment meetings across Sales, Finance, and Product Management teams. • People & Process Leadership: Support the management, training, and development of direct reports, ensuring team growth and operational excellence. Qualifications & Key Requirements • Top Required Skills: Advanced Excel Skills, Demand Planning, Root Cause Analysis. • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred. • Experience: 3–7 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management, including experience managing or developing direct reports. • Technical Proficiency: Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills (advanced pivot tables, complex formulas, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data modeling) and strong proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite. • Professional Competencies: • Exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proven track record of root cause analysis. • Ability to deliver on short-term commitments while simultaneously building and managing long-term strategic forecasts. • Collaborative mindset with a drive to thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment. • Results-driven leader capable of elevating business unit performance and executing strategic decisions.
