Senior Technical Lead

Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Lead having 9+ years of experience with deep expertise in Java 17, Spring Boot, AWS, Microservices, Docker, and modern cloud-native architectures. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can guide teams, architect scalable solutions, and drive technical excellence across complex enterprise systems. You will lead development efforts for high‑performance, distributed applications while collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative solutions for a major financial client. Responsibilities • Lead, mentor, and guide technical teams in designing, developing, and deploying Java-based applications. • Architect and implement microservices using Spring Boot to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance. • Build reactive, non-blocking applications using Spring WebFlux and Project Reactor. • Develop and consume RESTful APIs following best practices, versioning standards, and proper documentation. • Design and implement event-driven architectures using IBM MQ and Apache Kafka. • Utilize AWS services to build secure, scalable cloud-native solutions. • Implement containerization strategies using Docker; experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes is a plus. • Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, debugging, and root cause analysis. • Collaborate with architects, frontend teams, and product owners to deliver end-to-end solutions. • Contribute to continuous improvement, automation, and optimization initiatives. • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Technology/Engineering or related field. • AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification is highly desirable. Required Skills • Java 17 — Expert-level understanding (records, sealed classes, pattern matching, enhanced switch expressions). • Spring Boot — Strong hands-on experience building production-grade applications. • Spring WebFlux — Proficiency in reactive programming and non-blocking architectures. • REST APIs — Expertise in designing and securing RESTful services with proper error handling. • Microservices Architecture — Experience with service discovery, API gateways, circuit breakers, distributed tracing. • IBM MQ — Hands-on experience with enterprise messaging. • Apache Kafka — Strong knowledge of producers, consumers, stream processing, and event-driven systems. Preferred Skills • MongoDB — NoSQL schema design, queries, aggregation pipelines. • AWS Cloud — Familiarity with EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, RDS. • OpenShift / Kubernetes — Deployment, scaling, orchestration. • Helm — Packaging and deploying Kubernetes applications. • Harness — CI/CD and deployment automation. • Git & Bitbucket — Version control and collaboration. • JIRA — Agile project tracking. • Gradle — Build automation. • Lightspeed — Development acceleration tools. • Kibana — Log visualization and troubleshooting.
