Hybrid 4-5 days onsite until project is ramped up in Washington, DC
Our client seeks a Senior UEM Engineer to support a large-scale Unified Endpoint Management environment for the U.S. House of Representatives under the House Technology Alliance Program. The role covers engineering, administration, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise mobility platforms with focus on VMware Workspace ONE and mobile device management solutions. The position requires experience across enterprise mobility, Windows Server, endpoint management, and end-user support in production environments.
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $50.00 to $60.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities
• Engineer, design, deploy, support, and administer Workspace ONE UEM environments.
• Manage and support enterprise mobile device management solutions across a diverse endpoint ecosystem.
• Provide technical support for mobile devices and applications through ticketing systems, phone, and email.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Workspace ONE policies, profiles, applications, and device compliance settings.
• Support Microsoft Office 365 mobile applications and related endpoint integrations.
• Perform configuration management activities and maintain technical documentation.
• Assist with installation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of mobile devices and associated hardware and software.
• Coordinate support for internal staff, remote personnel, contractors, and external stakeholders.
• Assist in developing and improving IT operational procedures, workflows, and service delivery processes.
• Support vulnerability remediation and operating system patching activities.
• Collaborate with engineers, administrators, leadership, and non-technical users to resolve issues and implement solutions.
• Participate in maintenance activities and after-hours support windows as required.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide technical support in a 24x7 operational environment.
Experience Requirements
• 5+ years supporting enterprise Mobile Device Management solutions.
• 4+ years administering VMware Workspace ONE UEM.
• 4+ years supporting Windows Server 2019 or newer.
• Experience with Windows Server administration, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting enterprise mobility platforms and mobile devices.
• Strong understanding of endpoint management, device compliance, security policies, and mobile application deployment.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work onsite in Washington, DC during core business hours.
• Ability to participate in scheduled maintenance windows, including occasional evenings and overnight support.
• Ability to work in a flexible support environment and participate in on-call responsibilities.
• Preferred: Experience with Workspace ONE Access.
• Preferred: Experience administering Microsoft Active Directory.
• Preferred: Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Preferred: Additional Windows Server administration experience.
• Preferred: Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred: Experience in customer-focused environments such as hospitality, service operations, or other high-touch support organizations.
• Preferred Certifications: VMware Workspace ONE, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory or identity management, and relevant endpoint management or systems administration training.
