Role description
Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Senior Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineer with our medical device client in Mounds View, MN. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension.
Pay: $65.00 - $75.00/hr;Β W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.Β Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.
Description
Primary Responsibilities:
β’ Test the functionality and performance of the systems software
β’ Develop and execute manual test plans and scripts designed to detect problems
β’ Ensure systems software meets technical and functional requirements
β’ Perform workflow analysis, document test results, and recommend quality improvements
β’ Work with engineers to resolve software defects and diagnose/improve product configuration for current and future models
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Expert knowledge of Medical Product verification, IEC-62304, and FDA guidance in a technical discipline, preferably software related (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering)
β’ Experience debugging hardware with tools such as oscilloscope and function generators
β’ Experience writing, executing, and maintaining test automation scripts in Python or a comparable language. Experience should include automating functional, regression, and system-level test cases; working with test frameworks and reusable test libraries; analyzing logs and test results; debugging failures; and integrating automated tests into the broader verification workflow.
β’ Experience writing technical reports
β’ Experience using a tool or repository for managing test cases (Polarion, TFS, TestRail, JAMA, etc.)
β’ Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial drive
β’ Ability to work with Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, and Software engineers when discovering, documenting, and resolving integration issues
β’ Ability to work with QA to ensure testing meets Quality and Regulatory needs
β’ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
β’ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Must Have:
β’ 5+ years of application testing and/or development experience with Bachelorβs Degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Software, Biomedical, or Electrical Engineering preferred)
Top 3 skill sets required:
1. System-Level Test Design, Troubleshooting, and V&V (hardware, software, sensors, controls, networking, safety systems)
1. Quality & Regulatory Compliance (IEC 62304)
1. Python Test Scripting
