Senior ZTPF Developer – Travel Industry (Remote)

TPF Services is seeking a Senior zTPF Developer with strong travel industry experience to support and enhance mission‑critical reservation and transaction processing systems. This role requires deep hands-on expertise with zTPF application development, modern integration technologies, and legacy TPF reservation environments. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to design, develop, and maintain high‑availability systems that support large-scale travel operations. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain zTPF-based applications supporting travel and reservation systems • Work on current applications development using zTPF, including TPFDF, Toolkit, and SDLC practices • Develop and integrate web services and APIs, including RESTful services using JSON/XML • Collaborate on system integrations using MQ, SOA-based services, and API testing tools such as Postman • Support and enhance Assembler and TPF Reservation applications • Participate in requirements analysis, system design, code reviews, testing, and deployment • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues in high-availability environments • Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across distributed teams • Maintain documentation and follow best practices for security, performance, and reliability Required Qualifications • Senior-level experience with zTPF development (hands-on, recent experience required) • Strong background in the travel industry, particularly reservation or transaction processing systems • Proficiency in C/C++ for zTPF environments • Solid experience with TPFDF, Toolkit, and full SDLC • Experience with Assembler in TPF or reservation-based applications • Hands-on experience with: • Web Services / APIs • JSON & XML • MQ • SOA architectures • Postman or similar API testing tools
