A laptop will not be provided. • • • • No computer programming/coding will be performed in this position. • • • • The candidate must be currently living in North Carolina. The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is seeking a SharePoint Technical Specialist for a 12-month contract to support Preconstruction business processes within the Engineering Application Services team. This is a non-development role focused on business analysis, solution design, and quality assurance. The selected candidate will lead requirements gathering, solution design, documentation, testing, and user training while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver efficient, scalable SharePoint and web-based solutions. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement SharePoint/web-based solutions aligned with business needs • Gather requirements and translate them into user stories and functional designs • Perform end-to-end QA testing (system, workflow, scenario, and edge cases) • Manage project tasks, priorities, and communication independently • Document processes, solutions, and technical materials • Support deployment, validation, and user training • Collaborate on process improvements and provide quality control • Mentor team members and provide subject matter expertise Required Qualifications • 8+ years of Business Analysis experience in enterprise environments • Strong expertise in SharePoint (lists, libraries, content types, site structures) • Experience in solution design, QA testing, and workflow-based systems • Proven ability to work independently and manage deliverables • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills • Experience with Agile/SDLC and tools like Azure DevOps • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools • Experience in process re-engineering and user-focused documentation Preferred Qualifications • Knowledge of NCDOT Preconstruction processes • Experience with Balsamiq, Power BI, ServiceNow, or Microsoft Copilot Best Regards, Mohan Sai | Technical Recruiter Software Technology Inc.
