We are looking for a Shopify Plus Technical Lead to work directly with an exciting US client. Position Summary We are looking for a Shopify Plus Technical Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead the development and execution of Shopify Plus projects, ensuring high-quality technical implementation. This role requires working closely with cross-functional teams on new e-commerce initiatives, from business discovery to project deployment. Additionally, the Shopify Plus Technical Lead will maintain and enhance existing Shopify Plus websites while adhering to best practices. The candidate should be passionate about learning the latest digital technologies and improving platform functionality and performance. Required Skills Must-Haves: • Strong ability to communicate in English (professional proficiency). • 7+ years of professional experience in e-commerce development. • Expertise in Shopify Plus development, including Liquid template language. • Strong proficiency in Shopify APIs (REST and GraphQL). • Experience in Shopify theme development and customization. • Background in product modeling, discount logic, order APIs, and fulfillment automation. • Hands-on experience in Shopify app development. • Strong knowledge of Shopify instance management and data synchronization. • Experience working with Git/SVN for version control. • Previous experience working with international clients. • Experience leading and mentoring other Shopify developers. • Ability to optimize performance for high-traffic e-commerce sites. • Knowledge of best practices in security, automation, and workflows. Soft Skills: • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide technical recommendations. • Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams. • Comfortable researching and testing solutions to find the most efficient approach. • Strong time management and accurate reporting skills. • Passion for well-structured code, automation, and optimized workflows. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment. Nice to have: • Experience with Shopify Hydrogen and Checkout extensions. • Working knowledge of TypeScript and Tailwind CSS. • Familiarity with GTM, GA4, SEO best practices, and custom data layer implementations. • Experience migrating from platforms such as Magento to Shopify. • Knowledge of React.js, Node.js, and NoSQL stacks. • Expertise in ADA compliance and page speed optimization. Key Responsibilities • Lead the development and execution of Shopify Plus projects. • Collaborate with project teams to define technical requirements and solutions. • Maintain and enhance existing Shopify Plus e-commerce websites. • Participate in Scrum and sprint planning meetings, providing technical input and estimates. • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to developers. • Define and oversee the technical strategy for multiple Shopify Plus projects. • Stay updated with the latest Shopify ecosystem updates and best practices. • Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements for platform functionality and performance.
