Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer/ Simulation Software Engineer. Duration: 6+ months Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid) Pay Rate: $80/hr - $100/hr Description Build the core software foundation for simulation-based systems in specialty domains. This role focuses on high-performance computation services, workflow orchestration, and enterprise-grade integrations that generate reproducible and traceable outputs for enterprise and mainstream users. Responsibilities • Design and implement product features and workflows in C++ and Python, including numerical routines, algorithms, and user interfaces. • Build orchestration for multi-step workflows, including project state, job execution, persistence, and versioning. • Implement robust API contracts and data schemas for results, metadata, and provenance. • Integrate with enterprise data sources, cloud-based systems, and GPUs. • Engineer for production quality through testing, performance profiling, reliability patterns, observability, secure coding, and maintainability. Required Qualifications • 10+ years of production software development experience; BS/MS in CS/CE/EE or equivalent. • Strong C/C++ and Python experience with a solid foundation in data structures and algorithms. • Experience with AI-assisted programming and testing. • Experience in UI and UX development. • Experience designing, implementing, and operating backend services using REST/gRPC, along with CI/CD and automated testing.
