Role description
Site Budget Management Analyst
The Site Budget Management Analyst within the Site Budget Management Office supports the financial planning, analysis, and oversight of global clinical trial site budgets. This role focuses on clinical site financial data analysis, budget development, forecasting, and operational insights across site budgets, investigator grants, contracts, and site payments. The position serves as a strategic analytical partner to Clinical Operations, Business Operations, and leadership by transforming complex clinical financial data into actionable insights that support efficient budget development, accurate site payment forecasting, and financial transparency across global clinical studies. The Analyst develops site-level financial models, monthly life cycle forecasts, and analytical dashboards to support study planning, financial risk identification, and operational decision-making.
Responsibilities
• Support financial planning, analysis, and oversight of global clinical trial site budgets.
• Analyze clinical site financial data for budget development and forecasting.
• Provide operational insights across site budgets, investigator grants, contracts, and site payments.
• Serve as a strategic analytical partner to Clinical Operations, Business Operations, and leadership.
• Transform complex clinical financial data into actionable insights.
• Develop site-level financial models, monthly life cycle forecasts, and analytical dashboards.
• Support study planning, financial risk identification, and operational decision-making.
Essential Skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, tables, and formula creation.
• Experience with CTMS systems and understanding of clinical trial financial operations.
• Ability to create dashboards and analytical reports.
• 2–5 years of experience in clinical trial financial operations, site budgeting, forecasting, payments, contracts, or financial analysis within pharmaceutical environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in small pharma environments is strongly preferred.
• Experience with clinical financial tools such as ClearTrial, Medidata, or site payment platforms.
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
• Collaborative nature.
Work Environment
This is a long-term opportunity within a collaborative team environment. The role involves building something new within the organization and requires flexibility with hours due to various time zones. The position focuses on the US market.
