seeking a Senior SmallTalk Engineer to support and modernize legacy credit card servicing applications used by call centres. The role involves maintaining existing SmallTalk applications while migrating functionality to modern Java-based solutions within an Agile Scrum environment.
Required Skills
• 5+ years of hands-on SmallTalk development experience.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and design principles.
• Experience packaging and deploying SmallTalk applications in non-production environments.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams with 2-week sprint cycles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to quickly learn business processes.
Preferred Skills
• Full Stack Java development experience (backend preferred).
• React UI experience.
• Microsoft SQL Server exposure.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications.
