Snowflake Cortex Architect

Job Title: Snowflake Cortex AI Architect Location: Remote Job Duration: 6-12 Months+ Job Description: • As a Snowflake Cortex AI Architect, you will own the design, architecture, and implementation of advanced data and AI solutions leveraging the Snowflake Data Cloud and Snowflake Cortex suite (e.g., Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, Cortex Agents). • You’ll work at the intersection of data platform engineering, GenAI/ML integration, and enterprise architecture — enabling scalable, secure, and intelligent analytics and automation across structured and unstructured data. Key Responsibilities: • Architect end-to-end Snowflake data platforms, including ingestion, transformation, storage, and compute layers. • Define semantic models and conversational layers using Cortex Analyst for natural language to SQL capabilities and self-service insights. • Design retrieval and semantic search solutions using Cortex Search, vector embeddings, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) patterns. • Build Cortex Agents / workflows to orchestrate structured + unstructured queries, LLMs, and tool invocation. Implementation & Delivery • Implement and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines using Snowflake features and ecosystem tools (dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, etc.). • Integrate enterprise AI/LLM models (open source or commercial) into the Snowflake stack and manage embeddings, models, and inference pipelines. • Drive proof-of-concepts (PoCs), reference architectures, and accelerators for GenAI + Snowflake use cases. • Ensure appropriate data governance, security, compliance, and cost-control practices in all AI and data solutions. Collaboration & Leadership • Partner with data science, analytics, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions. • Provide advisory support in pre-sales discussions, estimations, and technical workshops. • Mentor and guide junior architects and engineers; contribute to best practices and knowledge repositories. Required Skills & Qualifications • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake: data architecture, ELT/ETL, Snowpark, virtual warehouses, micro-partitioning, dynamic tables, streams & tasks, and governance. • Deep understanding of Snowflake Cortex platform (Analyst, Search, Agents) and GenAI/LLM workflows. • Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming/scripting language (Python preferred). • Familiarity with building semantic search, vector embeddings, and RAG pipelines. • Experience integrating GenAI models with cloud data platforms. • Working knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
