This role will focus on implementing and managing robust role-based access control (RBAC) frameworks, ensuring secure, scalable, and well-documented enterprise deployments across multiple environments. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on technical proficiency, strong attention to detail, and the ability to deliver production-ready solutions. Core Technical Requirements • Advanced Snowflake SQL: Expert-level skills in SQL, including stored procedures, JavaScript UDFs, task scheduling, and grant management. • Scripting & Automation: Proven experience with automation for role provisioning, bulk operations, and system integration scripts. • Environment Management: Hands-on experience managing multi-environment Snowflake deployments with role segregation strategies. • Data Pipeline Integration: Strong understanding of how RBAC interacts with ETL processes, CI/CD pipelines, and data loading workflows. Responsibilities • Role Implementation: Develop and maintain SQL scripts for role creation, grant management, and privilege assignment. • Automation Development: Build stored procedures, tasks, and workflows for automated role management. • Environment Management: Implement and maintain DEV/QA/STG/PROD role variants with environment-specific configurations. • Testing & Validation: Execute comprehensive testing of role implementations and access patterns to ensure accuracy and security. Implementation Focus Areas • Role Hierarchy Construction: Design and implement complex inheritance structures aligned with Snowflake best practices. • Privilege Assignment: Apply precise schema- and object-level access controls. • Temporal Controls: Develop automated procedures for time-bound role activation and expiration to align with business cycles. • Audit Trail Implementation: Implement comprehensive logging and monitoring of role usage and changes.
