Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Snowflake Developer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the Snowflake data platform and hands-on experience designing scalable data ingestion and transformation solutions across AWS and Azure environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake
• Build and optimize batch and real-time data ingestion frameworks
• Develop data transformation logic using Snowflake SQL, stored procedures, and Python
• Work with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipeline performance and data quality
• Maintain documentation for data models, pipelines, and architecture
Required Skills & Experience
• 12+ years of overall IT experience
• 6+ years in Data Engineering
• 4+ years of hands-on Snowflake development experience
• Strong expertise in Snowflake (SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning)
• Experience with data ingestion (bulk load, micro-batching, streaming)
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (S3, Lambda, CloudWatch)
• Experience with Azure services (Data Factory, Event Hubs, Blob Storage, Azure Functions)
• Strong Python programming skills
• Solid understanding of data modelling and dimensional modelling
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance
Preferred Qualifications
• Snowflake Certifications (SnowPro Core / Advanced)
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with BI tools and data visualization platforms
• Knowledge of data quality and monitoring frameworks
• Experience with Git and collaborative development practices
