Role description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Snowflake Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and analytics, with expertise in Snowflake and related technologies. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing data solutions that support our business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data systems and contribute to the overall data strategy. Duties Design and implement scalable data models in Snowflake to support analytical needs. Develop ETL processes using tools such as Informatica and custom scripts in Python or Java. Collaborate with data architects and analysts to define requirements for data warehousing solutions. Optimize data pipelines for performance and efficiency, leveraging big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark. Manage and maintain NoSQL databases alongside traditional relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle. Utilize Azure Data Lake and AWS services for cloud-based data storage and processing. Implement best practices for database design, ensuring high availability and security of data assets. Participate in Agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Conduct performance tuning of SQL queries to enhance application responsiveness. Provide technical guidance to junior developers and participate in code reviews. Requirements Proven experience as a Snowflake Developer or similar role with a strong understanding of cloud-based data warehousing solutions. Proficiency in SQL, including experience with database design principles. Familiarity with NoSQL databases and their applications. Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Azure Data Lake. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or Java for ETL development. Knowledge of analytics tools and techniques for deriving insights from large datasets. Experience working with Agile methodologies to deliver projects efficiently. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
