Snowflake Developer

Location: Chandler, AZ, or Santa Clara, CA or Portland, OR Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in developing complex stored procedures, writing Technical Design Documents (TDDs), and sourcing data from SAP S/4HANA and other enterprise systems. This role requires a strong background in data engineering, data modeling, and performance tuning to build scalable and efficient solutions on Snowflake. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and optimize complex stored procedures, UDFs, and SQL scripts within Snowflake. • Write and maintain comprehensive Technical Design Documents (TDDs) for all development activities. • Implement data modeling best practices (star schema, snowflake schema, etc.) for analytics and reporting. • Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Snowflake performance (query optimization, warehouse tuning, caching strategies). • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards. • Support production deployments and provide post-deployment assistance. Required Qualifications: • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake development. • Proficiency in SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning. • Strong experience sourcing and integrating data from SAP S/4HANA. • Expertise in developing Technical Design Documents and following SDLC best practices. • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and their integration with Snowflake. • Experience with data integration tools (Informatica, Talend, Matillion, DBT, etc.). • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance practices.
