Role description
Job Title: Snowflake Technical Lead Location: Cupertino, CA (or Remote in Worst case, if we cannot identify profiles in CA) Duration: Long Term Contract Experience: β€’ 10+ Years (>5 years in Snowflake) Skills: β€’ Snowflake SME, Python, End-to-End Cloud Data Engineer. Role Summary: β€’ Looking for a Snowflake Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong Python hands-on skills to lead end-to-end Snowflake development - including ingestion, pipelines, automation, and optimization. β€’ Candidate must have deep Snowflake platform knowledge beyond SQL or basic ETL. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Lead end-to-end design and development of Snowflake data pipelines. β€’ Implement ingestion using Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, external stages, OpenPipe. β€’ Build automation and processing scripts using Python. β€’ Optimize Snowflake performance, cost, and security. β€’ Support CI/CD, orchestration, and integration with cloud platforms. β€’ Provide Snowflake SME guidance to the engineering team. Required Skills: β€’ Strong, hands-on Snowflake architecture and pipeline development. β€’ Expertise in Python for automation, ingestion, and data processing. β€’ Experience with Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, stages, and end-to-end ingestion frameworks. β€’ Strong SQL, cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), and CI/CD exposure. Preferred Skills: β€’ Experience with Airflow / dbt / Snowpark. β€’ Snowflake or cloud certifications.
