Social Content Planner $35 - $45 Per Hour, One Year Contract Hybrid Schedule Columbus, Ohio What the position offers: β€’ One year contract β€’ 3 days in office, 2 days Work from Home after onboarding β€’ Equipment for job needs Dawson has partnered with a Columbus based corporation to assist in finding a Social Content Planner. The Social Content Planner role plays a key leadership role within the Social Experience Team within the internal creative agency. The Social Content Planner, reporting to the Head of Social Experience, and is responsible for developing and executing strategic content plans across social media platforms to drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversion. This role blends creativity with data-driven insights to craft compelling narratives that resonate with target audiences and align with business objectives. What you'll be doing: Content Strategy & Planning β€’ Develop and implement comprehensive social media content strategies aligned with brand goals and audience insights. β€’ Create and manage editorial calendars to ensure consistent and timely content delivery across platforms. β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Media, PA, Brand, MLR etc) to align content with broader marketing campaigns. β€’ Identify content themes, formats, and storytelling opportunities that drive engagement and performance. β€’ Expert knowledge of digital trends and channel best practices as well as foundational strategic frameworks such as purchase funnel, feasibility matrices, and content matrices. β€’ Advocate for new media technologies/capabilities that have a synergistic fit into the Brand’s marketing mix. Content Creation & Oversight. β€’ Lead the content creation process from concept to execution, including copywriting, visual direction, and production coordination. β€’ Ensure all content is on-brand, optimized for each platform, and adheres to best practices. β€’ Partner with designers, videographers, and influencers to produce high-quality, engaging social content. β€’ Review and approve content assets, ensuring strategic alignment and creative excellence. Performance & Optimization β€’ Monitor content performance using analytics tools and translate insights into actionable recommendations. β€’ Conduct A/B testing and content experiments to improve engagement and conversion rates. β€’ Stay current on platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging trends to inform strategy. Social Listening & Audience Insights β€’ Utilize social listening tools to uncover audience behaviors, preferences, and emerging topics. β€’ Translate insights into content opportunities and strategic pivots. β€’ Represent the voice of the consumer in content planning discussions. β€’ Sprinklr point-of-contact for listening, reporting, query builds & maintenance, partnering closely with Sprinklr team to ensure our tool is optimized for social listening. β€’ Owns crisis social listening and escalation and communicates observations and impact with cross functional teams and ensures appropriate monitoring plans are in place. Collaboration & Communication β€’ Work closely with brand managers, media planners, and agency partners to ensure content supports campaign objectives. β€’ Present content strategies, performance reports, and recommendations to internal stakeholders. β€’ Advocate for innovative content formats and storytelling approaches. Who we're looking for: β€’ Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or related field β€’ 5+ years of working in marketing strategy and directly with data, analytics and visualization tools to provide valuable insights. β€’ Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to facilitate communication and share out of results and provide recommendations to stakeholders. β€’ Excellent written and oral communication skills. β€’ Proven ability to prioritize and manage work in a fast-paced environment and lead strong teams through rapidly evolving, complex demands, including multiple projects with dependencies on other teams. β€’ High level of organization and attention to detail. β€’ A positive attitude and eagerness to solve complex problems. β€’ Demonstrated ability to work proactively and independently.
