Software Database Engineer 1

Job Summary Join a high-impact performance engineering team dedicated to validating SQL performance on cutting-edge hardware and new software releases. In this role, you will be at the forefront of identifying regressions and ensuring stability for large-scale enterprise systems. This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career engineer to dive deep into SQL internals, cloud technology, and complex problem-solving. location: Redmond, Washington job type: Contract salary: $30 - 35 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors Responsibilities • Run performance tests and analyze results to identify system regressions. • Generate detailed performance reports and work with developers to address identified issues. • Design architecture to support software, hardware, and communication requirements. • Perform scripting in PowerShell, C, or C# to automate testing and analysis tasks. • Ensure system compatibility and compliance with established IT architecture standards. • Participate in daily scrum calls to provide progress updates and surface project blockers. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. Technical Experience: Practical experience with C, C#, and PowerShell. Operating Systems: Strong proficiency with Windows OS environment. Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex software and hardware interfaces.
