Software Tools Dev Engineer (C/C++/C#)

Job Title: Software Tools Dev Engineer Location: Torrance, CA 90503 Duration: 24 Months On W2 Contract Job Overview: We are seeking a Software Tools Dev Engineer to join our team. This position involves developing Engineering Test Tools and providing support in software test processes for GNSS StarFire receivers. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement tools to support analysis of GNSS StarFire receivers. • Support and implement test automation features for the software test team. • Diagnose and solve software defects. • Analyze issues in a systematic, persistent, and thorough manner. • Execute and support software engineering test and verification assignments for GNSS StarFire receivers. • Understand GNSS concepts and fundamentals, contributing through tools development and automation work assignments. • Provide daily assistance and guidance to the team on work assignments, which may include working with non-technical team members to understand software issues. What Skills You Need: • 2 or more years of experience with C#, C/C++ • 2 or more years of experience in the software development life cycle • 2 or more years of experience in test execution and reporting/tracking software defects • 2 or more years of experience with GitHub • 2 or more years of experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment • Strong software analytical skills, with the ability to problem solve and convey complex features/issues to engineers in other disciplines What Makes You Stand Out: • Experience with Matlab and Python • Experience with databases, SQL, and SQL Server tools • Experience with cloud services such as AWS and Microsoft Azure DevOps • Awareness of UI/UX principles • Strong reporting and presentation skills • Experience with Agile Development Methodology • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Education Requirements: • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
