Role description
We’re looking for an experienced SolidWorks PDM Administrator to join our team in a hybrid role (3 days onsite in Arlington Heights, IL). This position is key to ensuring the performance, integration, and support of our SolidWorks PDM environment and related systems. You’ll work closely with global teams, bringing technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and clear communication to keep our engineering tools running at their best. This is a potential temp-to-hire opportunity, depending on budget. What You’ll Do β€’ Administer SolidWorks PDM: upgrades, license management, configurations, and issue resolution. β€’ Support System Integrations: manage network licenses, oversee Autodesk licensing, and integrate SolidWorks PDM with Windchill (servers, custom software, databases). β€’ Provide Technical Support: assist users across SolidWorks, virtual desktop environments (VMWare, Azure Local), and related systems. β€’ Enable Training & Knowledge Sharing: develop training modules, deliver sessions, and build Knowledge Base articles for users and admins. β€’ Collaborate Globally: partner with site leads and IT teams to implement improvements and support system changes. What We’re Looking For Required β€’ Associate degree in Engineering Drafting & Design (or related field). β€’ 5+ years of SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM experience. β€’ 2+ years specifically as a SolidWorks PDM Administrator. Preferred β€’ SQL knowledge (query writing/reading). β€’ Programming skills: C#, Visual Basic, REST API, COM API. β€’ SharePoint development (PowerApps, Power Automate). β€’ Familiarity with server architecture, data storage, and networking.
