Solution Architect - ERP

Solutions Architect – 6 months – Sheffield (Hybrid) Vaerdi Recruitment is supporting a client in delivering a major ERP programme and is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to act as the design authority across the end-to-end solution. You’ll align technology (including integrations and data) to business requirements, driving fit-to-standard processes and the objective of a single source of truth. A key part of the role is embedding security by design, and ensuring ERP/SI vendors provide appropriate assurance around cloud resilience, data protection, and incident response. What You’ll Do Define the overall ERP solution architecture across application, data, integration, and infrastructure layers Translate business requirements into solution designs and technical specifications Design integration strategies between ERP and wider enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, HRIS/HCM, legacy platforms, MDM) Establish and enforce architectural standards, design principles, and best practices Review/approve technical deliverables (configurations, customisations, extensions) and resolve design conflicts via design/data authority Partner with programme leadership, delivery teams, vendors and stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout delivery Embed security across infrastructure, data and application layers, including RBAC/user groups/permissions Validate vendor assurances and integrate security/resilience assurance into governance and risk management What You’ll Bring Strong ERP architecture experience (ideally SAP S/4HANA, or Oracle / IFS / Dynamics) Proven track record designing scalable, secure, high-performing ERP solutions Strong application, data and integration architecture capability in complex enterprise environments Familiarity with TOGAF, Zachman (or similar) Confident leading design forums and influencing senior stakeholders and vendors Strong understanding of security principles, access control models, and cloud resilience strategies Details Contract: 6 months + Location: Sheffield (Hybrid – 2 days on-site) Interview process: 1 Stage
