Role description
Solution Architect – III (Automation & Observability)
Manager Insights Enterprise Architect for DevOps & Observability
Location: Miramar, FL – Hybrid ONLY (3 days onsite / 2 remote)
Duration: 6 months – Contract to Hire
Visa : Independent Visa only
Mail : shabuddin@rubistonetechnologies.com
Role Overview:
This is a high-impact Solution Architect role requiring a mix of deep hands-on technical expertise (Python, Terraform, Ansible, observability tools) and enterprise-level architectural leadership. Candidates must be able to bridge business and technical needs, operate in a fast-paced environment, and help drive SGWS’s automation and observability strategy forward.
• High-visibility, senior-level Solution Architect role.
• Approximately 60% hands-on / 40% architectural leadership.
• Will partner across multiple teams and initiatives (DevOps, Observability, Data, Security, Cloud, Integration).
• Focused on designing and implementing automation and observability solutions across the enterprise.
• Expected to engage with both engineers (hands-on problem solving, POCs, immediate fixes) and senior leaders (strategy, standards, roadmaps).
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop technical roadmap and standards for automation/observability.
• Implement automation solutions using Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash.
• Work with observability tools: Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, plus vendor-provided dashboards.
• Help consolidate disparate tool sets into standardized enterprise observability solutions.
• Provide guidance on system performance, performance tuning, and defining metrics.
• Collaborate on AI/ML use cases — determining when to leverage vendor AI vs. enterprise AI capabilities (e.g., data science, Lakehouse, Kafka).
• Partner with security architects on shift-left / shift-right security practices (SAST, SCA, secrets detection, RASP, chaos engineering).
Candidate Profile
Must-Haves:
• Strong developer background (Python preferred), able to contribute hands-on.
• Experience with IAC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Observability expertise with Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Strong AWS/cloud experience.
• Ability to mentor, collaborate, and align solutions with enterprise target architecture (avoid siloed builds).
Should-Haves:
• Technical leadership; ability to face business stakeholders and communicate complex solutions.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and integration with enterprise vs. vendor tools.
• Experience in diverse industries helpful, but role is industry-agnostic.
Nice-to-Haves:
• OpenShift/Kubernetes deployment and cluster management exposure.
• Experience with CI/CD, automation testing, and enterprise-scale systems.
Additional Notes
• Onsite expectation: 3 days onsite (Miramar). Open to Dallas only in special cases, but Miramar is strongly preferred. Flexibility is possible after candidate proves themselves.
• Team Structure: Role sits under Technical Architecture (reporting to VP). Works closely with architects across Cloud, Security, Data, Application, and Integration.
• Urgency: Top-priority role. Manager wants someone “yesterday.” Candidate ideally onboarded ASAP to ramp up and be ready for major 2026 initiatives.
