Job Description

Are you looking to kick-start your career in contracts and acquisitions? Join our dynamic contracts team as a Specialist I, Contracts supporting the S2MARTS OTA and play a vital role in supporting groundbreaking defense technology projects!

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to provide administrative and coordination support across the acquisition process for a portfolio of Other Transaction-based (OT) projects. These efforts focus on prototyping emerging technologies for critical defense applications. As a Specialist I, Contracts on the S2MARTS team, you'll work closely with our Senior Contracts Manager and a team of experienced specialists, assisting government clients and consortium members through every phase of our prototype projects.

What You'll Do

   • Provide administrative and coordination support for contract actions and project documentation.

   • Perform data entry and maintain records using cloud-based collaboration tools.

   • Assist in the preparation, review, and editing of agreements to ensure accuracy and compliance.

   • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and schedule key meetings and engagements.

   • Support communication efforts by monitoring shared inboxes, tracking inquiries, and drafting responses.

   • Organize and maintain accurate contract files, documentation, and templates in compliance with regulations.

   • Review proposals and deliverables for compliance and clarity.

   • Conduct research and contribute to team discussions and presentations.

   • Act as a liaison for data gathering and external information requests.

What You Bring

   • Bachelor’s Degree or other Advanced Degree in relevant field of study such as Business Administration.

   • 1+ year work experience as a Contract Administrator, Contract/Data Analyst, or relevant role.

   • Data entry expertise, with an emphasis on accuracy & timeliness.

   • Demonstrably strong communication and interpersonal skills (to include writing correspondence & verbal explanations).

   • Strong organizational skills as it relates to file management & deadline tracking.

   • Strong multitasking skills and ability to work and meet tight deadlines.

   • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint and other contract management software.

   • Strong problem-solving and writing skills.

   • Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers, external partners.

   • Previous experience in a contract administrative or similar role.

Nice to Have

   • Department of Defense government contracting/acquisition experience.

   • Knowledge of legal requirements & protocols involved with defense contracting.

   • Direct experience with Other Transaction agreements (10 U.S. Code

   • 4021 & 4022).

   • Knowledge and understanding of the FAR Source Selection Processes and/or Commercial Supplier Selection Processes.

   • Familiarity with SSC programs.
