We are seeking a seasoned Splunk ITSI Specialist with 8+ years of experience in IT operations, observability, or monitoring solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting, developing, and managing Splunk ITSI solutions that provide actionable insights into service health and business-critical KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design, implement, and optimize Splunk ITSI modules including glass tables, KPIs, and service definitions.
β’ Work with stakeholders to understand service-level objectives and translate them into ITSI service models.
β’ Configure and fine-tune correlation searches, notable events, and anomaly detection in ITSI.
β’ Develop custom dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support IT and business users.
β’ Integrate ITSI with various data sources such as infrastructure logs, APM tools, CMDBs, and ticketing systems.
β’ Manage Splunk deployment architecture (indexers, search heads, heavy forwarders, etc.).
β’ Drive performance tuning, capacity planning, and environment health monitoring for Splunk and ITSI components.
β’ Ensure data onboarding follows best practices and supports optimal service insight generation.
β’ Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams for holistic observability.
β’ Lead knowledge-sharing sessions and mentor junior Splunk engineers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
β’ 8+ years of experience in IT monitoring, observability, or infrastructure operations.
β’ 4+ years of hands-on experience specifically with Splunk ITSI.
β’ Expertise in Splunk Core (SPL, dashboards, alerts, data onboarding).
β’ Deep understanding of IT service models, SLOs, KPIs, and operational intelligence.
β’ Experience integrating ITSI with CMDB, ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow), and third-party monitoring platforms.
β’ Strong knowledge of ITIL, event management, and incident correlation.
β’ Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
β’ Familiarity with data ingestion via REST API, syslog, and various Splunk connectors.
β’ Ability to work independently and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
β’ Splunk Certifications (e.g., Splunk Core Certified Power User, ITSI Implementation).
β’ Experience with machine learning and anomaly detection in Splunk.
β’ Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid environments.
β’ Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
