Role description
Job Title: SpotFire Developer
Location: Alpharetta, GA || Cincinnati, OH (Hybrid 2-3 days a week)
Duration: Contract
Job Summary:
• Maintain advanced Spotfire dashboards.
• Use IronPython scripting to add interactivity, automate workflows, and integrate external data sources.
• Implement reusable templates and components for faster delivery.
• Write complex SQL queries, optimize performance, and design data transformations.
• Work extensively with AWS Redshift for data modelling, querying, and integration with BI tools.
• Support ETL/ELT processes and ensure data quality for analytics.
• Design and deploy dashboards in Power BI and/or Tableau as secondary reporting platforms.
• Collaborate with users to translate requirements into impactful visualizations.
• Implement version control, automated build, and deployment pipelines for BI solutions.
• Work with Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools to streamline delivery.
• Ensure proper documentation and governance of code artifacts.
• Work closely with senior architects and business stakeholders to deliver solutions.
• Provide guidance and code reviews for junior developers.
• Contribute to best practices in BI development and DevOps adoption.
• Primary Skills 1 Required: Experienced & Practioner with Basic knowledge with demonstrated hands-on experience. Requires no / minimal supervision in Spotfire/IronPython
• Primary Skill 2 Required: Knowledgeable - Basic knowledge with limited hands-on practice. Requires supervision to complete task in SQL
• Secondary Skill 1 Required: Knowledgeable - Basic knowledge with limited hands-on practice. Requires supervision to complete task in PowerBI/Tableau
• Secondary Skill 2 Required: Knowledgeable - Basic knowledge with limited hands-on practice. Requires supervision to complete task in AWS redshift
• Tertiary Skill 1 Required : Aware: Understanding of subject and concepts gained through initial training / self-learning in Devops CI/CD
Qualification:
• Minimum Educational Qualification required : Engineer - B.E / B.Tech / MCA
• Mandatory Certification required : Azure Database Administrator Associate
