Role description
Client: Entertainment Provider Job Title: Splunk Administrator / Developer Location: Orlando, FL 32819 // Anaheim, CA 92802 - 4 Day Onsite - Friday Remote Duration: 04 Months (Extension/Conversion will be based on performance) Pay Rate: ($75 - $77) hourly Overview: • We are seeking a hands-on Senior Splunk Administrator / Developer to own and manage a large-scale Splunk Enterprise environment supporting mission-critical engineering and operational systems. • This role is responsible for the end-to-end Splunk platform, including infrastructure, administration, data ingestion, dashboard development, performance optimization, and system reliability. Required Qualifications: • 5-10+ years of hands-on experience with Splunk Administration and Development. • Strong expertise in Splunk Enterprise architecture, clustering, data ingestion, and dashboard development. • Experience managing on-premises/bare-metal Splunk environments. • Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills. • Proficiency in Python, Bash, or other scripting languages. • Experience supporting high-availability, enterprise-scale production environments. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Cribl, ELK, Prometheus, or other observability tools. • Exposure to industrial, operational technology (OT), IoT, or telemetry environments. • Splunk certifications (Administrator, Architect, or Developer). Responsibilities: • Administer and maintain the full Splunk Enterprise environment, including indexers, search heads, forwarders, and clustering. • Design, deploy, and optimize data ingestion pipelines and log parsing from multiple data sources. • Develop dashboards, alerts, and reports to support engineering and operations teams. • Manage on-premises Splunk infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance. • Automate administrative tasks using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages. • Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver scalable observability and monitoring solutions. • Implement security, access controls, and Splunk best practices.
