Job Title: Senior SQL Developer Location: Montvale, New Jersey Type: Hybrid Contract We're looking for a skilled SQL Developer with strong Azure experience to join our project team. You'll handle the full lifecycle of SQL Server database development and management, from design and optimization to performance tuning and production support. This role requires independent work, close collaboration with full-stack developers and QA, and a solid understanding of database design and DevOps practices. Key Responsibilities • Develop and manage SQL Server Databases (SQL 2016+). • Create and optimize database schemas, tables, views, and stored procedures. • Manage large data volumes and performance-critical SQL processes. • Implement and manage Azure SQL Databases. • Review database performance and apply best practices. • Troubleshoot and support production database issues. • Work independently within an Agile project team, participating in sprint planning. • Apply DevOps principles for automated database development. • Collaborate with full-stack developers and QA teams. Qualifications • 10+ years as a SQL Developer with experience in migration of databases from on prem to Azure Cloud with Azure SQL. • Proficiency with SQL Server 2016 and above. • Expertise in performance tuning and optimization. • Develop, optimize, and maintain complex stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support application functionality and enhance database performance. • Required: AZ-900 Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification. • Strong experience with Azure SQL Database management. • Experience with SQL DACPAC and Visual Studio. • Strong understanding of database design principles. • Proven Agile experience. • Experience with DevOps and automated development. • Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
