Role description
Title: Data Analyst/ SQL
Location: Cincinnati, OH (2-3 Days Hybrid) || Local
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Job Descriptions:
• Client is seeking a hands-on Data Analyst/Developer to support a major data warehouse and BI modernization effort. This role is heavily focused on SSIS development and SQL Server-based analytics within a small, collaborative BI team.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, install, and migrate SSIS packages (SSIS-heavy role)
• Build and optimize complex T-SQL (stored procedures, triggers, UDFs)
• Develop SSAS tabular models including star/snowflake schemas, cubes, and measures
• Use Tabular Editor for model and measure management
• Implement robust error handling, SSIS variables, parameters, control flow, and data flow logic
• Map source systems to SQL Server DW and deliver reporting-ready data models
• Support report delivery in Power BI
Technical Environment
• Migrating Oracle Data Warehouse + Cognos to SQL Server + Power BI
• JD Edwards (JDE) backend with data extracted via QuickLaunch
Ideal Candidate
• Deep, hands-on SSIS expertise (not just maintenance)
• Strong data modeling and DW design experience
• Comfortable owning end-to-end data pipelines and BI deliverables
• Thrives in a small team with high ownership and visibility
