Role description
We are seeking a seasoned SQL Developer / Analyst to join our team and take a leading role in implementing robust data solutions for our clients. The SQL Developer / Analyst, will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing SQL, pipelines, databases, and related applications within the accounting domain. This role will collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders, and team members to analyze requirements, suggest process methodologies, and deliver scalable and high-performing data solutions.
This is a contract role through end of year with potential for extension
Must work EST hours. Candidates in EST preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration workflows across multiple platforms, including Snowflake
• Implement data models and schemas to support business requirements and ensure data consistency and integrity
• Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for data extraction, transformation, loading, and reporting
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to understand data needs and provide data engineering support for analytics initiatives
• Ensure data quality and implement data validation and cleansing techniques
• Monitor and optimize data pipelines and database performance for efficient data processing and retrieval
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data accuracy and availability
• Implement and maintain data security and access controls
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in data engineering and recommend enhancements to existing systems and processes
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and process documentation
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus
• MUST have in-depth knowledge of SQL and experience writing complex queries
• MUST have experience in development: Data modeling and analysis based on business requirements
• MUST have experience in the Finance/Accounting domain and/or regulated industries
• Strong customer facing presentation, problem-solving and analytical skills is required
• Proficiency in Snowflake development tools and architecture a plus
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and dimensional data modeling isa plus
• Excellent communication with ability to collaborate cross functionally
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced & ambiguous environments

The anticipated hourly rate for this role is $50-$65 per hour. Final pay rate will be determined based on experience, qualifications and geographic location
