Role description
We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer with hands-on expertise in Liaison EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) tools to join our IT applications and data integration team. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in database development, query optimization, and stored procedures, along with experience configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting EDI transactions within the Liaison platform. Key Responsibilities β€’ Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions for business-critical applications. β€’ Support, configure, and maintain Liaison EDI tool for electronic data interchange across trading partners. β€’ Develop and maintain integration workflows between internal systems and external partners using Liaison. β€’ Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to EDI transactions, mappings, and acknowledgements. β€’ Collaborate with business analysts and integration teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable SQL/EDI solutions. β€’ Ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance with industry EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT, etc.). β€’ Create and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, data flows, and process guidelines. Required Qualifications β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). β€’ 3+ years of experience as a SQL Developer with expertise in query optimization, performance tuning, and data modeling. β€’ Hands-on experience with Liaison EDI tool (or similar EDI platforms such as OpenText/GXS, Sterling Integrator, or Cleo). β€’ Strong understanding of EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON). β€’ Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration practices. β€’ Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred Skills β€’ Experience with ERP/CRM system integrations (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.). β€’ Familiarity with API integrations (REST, SOAP). β€’ Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) for data exchange and automation. β€’ Experience in healthcare, retail, logistics, or manufacturing industries where EDI transactions are critical. β€’ Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
