Role description
Job Title: SQL Developer Location: Montgomery, AL - Onsite Type: Contract Job Description: We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer to join our team onsite in Montgomery, AL. This role involves performing complex programming and systems analysis, supporting integrated systems, and resolving live production issues. The ideal candidate will have advanced T-SQL skills, hands-on SSIS/SSRS experience, and strong problem-solving abilities in a ticket-driven production support environment. Responsibilities: β€’ Develop and maintain T-SQL stored procedures, views, functions, and SSIS packages. β€’ Investigate and resolve production support tickets related to data integrity and performance. β€’ Perform query optimization and performance tuning for high-traffic queries. β€’ Debug and modify SSIS packages, workflows, and ETL processes. β€’ Document solutions and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders. β€’ Support compliance by tracking fixes and outcomes. β€’ Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team environment. Required Skills & Experience: β€’ 5+ years of professional experience in T-SQL, SQL Server, and database development. β€’ Advanced T-SQL skills: CTEs, window functions, dynamic SQL, error handling. β€’ Strong background in SSIS/SSRS package development and troubleshooting. β€’ Hands-on experience with SQL Server 2012 or later, Visual Studio, and SSMS. β€’ Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and TFS (Team Foundation Server). β€’ Ability to work 100% onsite in Montgomery, AL (no remote option). Preferred Skills: β€’ Experience with State Government, Medicaid, CHIP, DHR, or healthcare systems. β€’ Exposure to .NET, C#, HTML, or other web front-end technologies. β€’ SQL Server certification.
