Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer with a strong background in SQL Server 2014, SSIS, and SSRS to join our client team at CNA Insurance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining SQL-based solutions, along with an understanding of Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance data and business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases, stored procedures, views, and functions.
Develop and optimize complex T-SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
Build, deploy, and maintain SSIS packages for ETL processes and data integration between multiple systems.
Create and manage SSRS reports and dashboards to meet business and operational needs.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve data and performance issues in SQL Server environments.
Collaborate with business analysts and data architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Support data quality, consistency, and security standards across multiple systems.
Participate in system design discussions and provide recommendations for database improvements.
Work closely with insurance business users to ensure data accuracy and reporting reliability for P&C operations.
Required Skills and Experience:
6+ years of professional experience as a SQL Developer.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server 2014 (and later versions).
Hands-on experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).
Advanced T-SQL scripting and query optimization skills.
Experience in data analysis, data modeling, and ETL workflows.
Knowledge of P&C Insurance data, including policies, claims, underwriting, and billing systems.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with insurance domain clients (CNA Insurance experience is a plus).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Exposure to data warehousing concepts and Power BI reporting.
Knowledge of Azure SQL, Stored Procedures automation, or Control-M scheduling tools.
Education:
Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Additional Information:
Role involves close interaction with business users in the Property & Casualty Insurance domain.
Must have strong data understanding and ability to deliver accurate, high-quality reports and ETL processes.
Immediate availability preferred.
