SQL Server Database Administrator (SQL DBA)

About the Role We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to support and manage enterprise database environments. This role involves database administration, performance tuning, monitoring, and production support for business-critical applications. You will work with a highly skilled infrastructure team responsible for maintaining high availability, security, and performance of SQL Server environments. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases in production environments Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching Monitor database performance, availability, and capacity planning Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes Implement database security and access controls Work closely with application teams for database optimization and deployment Monitor system logs and resolve issues to ensure minimal downtime Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration Experience with performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization Knowledge of backup/recovery and disaster recovery strategies Experience supporting production database environments Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Preferred Qualifications Experience working in enterprise or large-scale environments Familiarity with automation or scripting (PowerShell, T-SQL) Experience supporting high availability environments Pay: $130,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year Work Location: Hybrid remote in Delaware County, PA
