Sr. AWS Greengrass IoT Core Engineer Location: Brea, CA - onsite work only Client: Aero company Visa: NO H1B, OPT, CPT Must have AWS Greengrass Must have IOT Core Must have Golang Must have Java Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Greengrass and IoT Core Engineer with strong Golang experience to design, implement, and manage edge computing solutions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with embedded systems teams to ensure seamless integration between software and hardware, optimize data flow between edge and cloud, and implement secure IoT communications. Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement edge computing solutions using AWS Greengrass v2. • Integrate AWS IoT Core for secure device connectivity, telemetry ingestion, and rule-based data routing. • Develop and deploy Lambda functions and containerized applications on edge devices. • Write and maintain edge applications using Golang, Java, or Node.js. • Collaborate with embedded systems teams to ensure smooth hardware-software integration. • Implement secure communication protocols such as MQTT and TLS; manage device authentication and authorization. • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize IoT device fleets using AWS IoT Device Management and CloudWatch. • Optimize data flow and latency-sensitive applications between edge and cloud. • Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and system testing. Required Qualifications: • 10+ years of relevant experience in AWS IoT, edge computing, and application development. • Hands-on experience with AWS Greengrass, AWS IoT Core, and Lambda. • Proficiency in Golang; experience in Java or Node.js is a plus. • Strong understanding of IoT protocols, secure device communication, and cloud-edge integration. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Preferred Qualifications: • Aerospace domain experience. • Experience with embedded systems and hardware integration.
