Role description
Onward Search is hiring a Sr. Cloud Engineer for a global hospitality leader. You’ll be responsible for the full lifecycle of multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) — from design and deployment to optimization and cost efficiency. This role emphasizes FinOps best practices, scalability, and security in cloud operations.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and optimize multi-cloud solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and CloudFormation.
Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments.
Monitor and optimize cloud spend, applying FinOps principles.
Enforce security and compliance best practices.
Provide advanced troubleshooting (Tier 3 support) for cloud issues.
Mentor junior engineers and maintain technical documentation.
Requirements
7+ years’ experience in cloud engineering across multi-cloud/hybrid environments.
Expertise in AWS & GCP (Azure a plus).
Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Proven experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps.
Hands-on with cloud networking (VPC, Route 53, Direct Connect, VPN, Transit Gateways, etc.).
Experience applying FinOps practices for cloud cost management.
