Role description
This role is hybrid in Lincolnshire, IL
This role sits at the intersection of data analytics, business requirements, and Power BI reporting. The person will partner closely with business teams (Finance, Customer Care, etc.) to understand reporting needs, translate data from multiple source systems into a clear sourceβofβtruth, and deliver interactive Power BI dashboards that support decisionβmaking. They will also collaborate on broader data strategy and work alongside a Solutions Architect (SA) and DBA team.
This is not an API or heavy engineering role β success here depends on strong data analysis, requirement gathering, and visualization skills within a highly regulated environment.
Core Responsibilities
β’ Partner with Finance, Customer Care, and other business teams to gather and document reporting requirements, including how reports need to be customized by team.
β’ Analyze and reconcile data from multiple source systems, ensuring clarity on data origin, ownership, and source of truth.
β’ Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that users can explore and download.
β’ Translate raw and aggregated data into the appropriate data formats and visualizations based on business use cases.
β’ Collaborate with the DBA team (who owns the databases but not requirements) to ensure data availability and accuracy.
β’ Work closely with Jon on overall data strategy, including how data is structured, governed, and consumed.
β’ Support and collaborate with the Solutions Architect (SA) on data and reporting initiatives.
β’ Participate in and follow SDLC processes from requirements through deployment.
β’ Document work, decisions, and processes using Jira and Confluence.
