Role description
Purpose
The Senior Data Analyst serves as a thought leader, extracting meaning and insights from data to support informed decision-making. This role will be instrumental in supporting the implementation of a Data Integration/Data Warehouse for the Delivery Team, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and usability to drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Perform data cleaning to identify and resolve erroneous or inconsistent data.
β’ Analyze and assess the quality and integrity of datasets, including reference data.
β’ Design and implement data collection systems and strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
β’ Understand the business meaning and context of data to provide actionable insights.
β’ Acquire data from internal and external sources, while maintaining mapping documentation.
β’ Document Source to Target Mapping (STTM) and maintain mapping files.
β’ Perform data analysis and data modeling to create STTM.
β’ Conduct gap analysis of data requirements versus current data sources.
β’ Collaborate with business analysts and data experts to gather and refine data requirements.
β’ Assess current data sets and assist in resolving data anomalies.
β’ Interpret and analyze data using statistical techniques, and provide regular reports and feedback.
β’ Evaluate risks using statistical information to support compliance and operations.
β’ Perform data profiling (preferably with Ab Initio DQE).
Qualifications
β’ 7+ years of proven experience as a Data Analyst, with a strong track record in data integration and analytics projects.
β’ 7+ years of hands-on experience with Big Data/NoSQL platforms, including delivery of production-scale projects.
β’ 7+ years of expertise in SQL and data modeling (3rd Normal Form and dimensional modeling).
β’ 7+ years of experience in Source to Target Mapping (STTM) and gap analysis.
β’ Strong ability to design and execute complex queries, assess data quality, and develop accurate mappings.
β’ Experience across multiple data warehousing and analytics projects.
β’ 3+ years of experience in the Healthcare industry (required).
β’ Data profiling expertise, ideally with Ab Initio DQE.
