You will: Collaborate with business stakeholders and Product Owners to define conceptual models that reflect real business processes and terminology Develop logical data models including entities, attributes, constraints, and relationships Translate logical models into physical schemas for relational, columnar, or lakehouse environments Perform robust data profiling to assess quality, identify anomalies, and quantify data quality metrics Support model-to-source and model-to-target mappings Validate performance, scalability, and security considerations for physical models Maintain data dictionaries, lineage documentation, and metadata artifacts Assist Data Governance teams with taxonomy alignment, naming standards, and quality rules Participate in design reviews, change control processes, and governance forums Provide impact analysis for any structural or semantic data changes Skills & Experience You Should Possess You don't need to meet every bullet to thrive here—if most fit your background, you’re encouraged to apply. 10+ years of experience in data analysis, data modeling, or related advanced data roles Strong expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling Experience with data profiling techniques and data quality frameworks Ability to translate business requirements into structured data artifacts Proficiency with SQL and data analysis methods Working knowledge of governance, metadata management, and lineage Excellent communication skills across both business and technical audiences Bonus Points If You Have Experience with Snowflake Hands-on experience using Python for data profiling Ability to parse or interpret JSON, COBOL, JCL, SQL, Java, C/C++, .NET Experience with Erwin for ERDs, forward engineering, and reverse engineering Exposure to naming standard enforcement or data cataloging initiatives Education & Certifications You Need Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field Data modeling or data governance certifications are beneficial but not required What We Offer At Trissential, we are driven by innovation, partnership, and meaningful work.
