Job Title : - Sr. Data Analyst/Data Scientist
Location : - Boston(Remote role β EST working hours preferred, with openness to travel to the office on a need basis)
Type of Employment : - Contract
Duration : - Long Term
About the role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team.
In this role, you will work with large complex clinical datasets (from pre-clinical to post market longitudinal patient outcome data) in a cloud environment to rapidly generate meaningful insights that support decision-making across the organization.
You will collaborate closely with the Clinical Development teams and contribute to the continuous improvement of our data analytics processes.
Within the first 90 days, the analyst is expected to independently deliver multiple short-turn analyses, produce publication- or presentation-ready figures, and contribute to standardized analytics workflows.
This role is focused on rapid, applied data analysis and insight generation, rather than building data infrastructure or conducting long-term exploratory research projects.
Responsibilities:
β’ Extract, analyze, and model clinical data using established analytics frameworks using Python within GCP Workstations.
β’ Perform analysis by writing clear readable code and contribute to code reviews for other team members
β’ Conduct thorough data wrangling, investigation, and validation of complex healthcare data, and apply sound judgement to sense-check analyses to ensure results are accurate, credible, and meaningful.
β’ Deliver high-quality analyses on short timelines (typically 1β5 business days) with creative solutions to evolving problem definitions
β’ Follow and implement analytics instructions while contributing creative approaches to problem-solving
β’ Provide technical guidance, review analyses, and support the development of junior analysts by breaking down larger tasks and delegating actions
β’ Design and produce clear, interpretable, and visually compelling figures and data visualizations
β’ Present analyses, insights, and findings to the wider team in a clear and professional manner both verbally and in writing
β’ Build upon, optimize, and help standardize existing data science and analytics processes
β’ Ensure analytical work is accurate, reproducible, and aligned with best practices
Qualifications and Skills:
β’ Degree in computer science, physics, biomedical engineering, statistics or similar
β’ 5+ yearsβ experience in Data Analytics
β’ Excellent proficiency in Python for data analysis, modeling, and figure generation
β’ Strong applied statistics background, including experience with regression, mixed effects models, survival analysis, or causal methods, and adjusting for confounding in observational data
β’ Experience working with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Big Query, GCP Workstations
β’ Experience working with real world healthcare data
β’ Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
β’ Ability to communicate technical results effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice-to-Have Skills
β’ Experience with R for statistical analysis and data visualization
β’ 3+ yearsβ experience in applied data analytics, preferably in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated environments
