Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Ab Initio, AWS, Redshift, Cloudera, and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize large-scale data pipelines, ensuring data availability, reliability, and performance to support business intelligence and analytics needs. Strong communication skills and the ability to learn and adapt quickly are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines and data integration workflows using Ab Initio.
Implement scalable and secure data solutions on AWS, leveraging services like Redshift for analytics and storage.
Work with Cloudera for big data processing and management.
Deploy, manage, and scale workloads using Kubernetes for containerized data processing applications.
Optimize data models and queries to improve performance and cost-efficiency.
Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business teams to deliver reliable data solutions.
Ensure data governance, quality, and security best practices are followed.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to data pipelines and infrastructure.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and continuously improve systems and processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
Strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio ETL tools.
Proficiency in AWS services (Redshift, S3, Lambda, EC2, etc.).
Experience with Cloudera big data ecosystem.
Knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration.
Strong SQL and database design skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
Self-learner with a proactive approach to exploring new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Python, Spark, or other data processing frameworks.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
Experience working in agile environments.
