Sr Data Engineer (MS Fabric) - Need Locals to TX

Job Title: Senior Data Engineer Contract Length: 3-6 months, Contract to hire Location: 1155 Union Cir, Denton, TX 76205 (Remote role, but may require occasional office visits.) - Need locals of Texas Citizenship: Must be USC/GC since the position will convert and they are unable to sponsor Position Details • Contract-to-hire (3-6 months) or direct hire for exceptional candidates • 3-step interview process (onsite required), ensuring a thorough and supportive match • Must pass a criminal background Fingerprint check upon hire • Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree (mandatory), and minimum 7 years’ professional experience in data engineering, analytics, data management, or closely related field • Proven expertise with Microsoft Fabric data platform (must-have) • Advanced scripting skills: Python, PySpark, R, PowerShell • Outstanding communication and analytical skill • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future need for sponsorship • Ability to pass a fingerprint-based background check upon hire What You Will Be Doing • Lead cloud data engineering initiatives using the Microsoft Fabric data platform • Design and optimize data models and analytics solutions • Develop scripts with Python, PySpark, R, and PowerShell • Create compelling data visualizations (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) • Integrate AI/ML (Azure AI, Chatbots) to enhance insights • Mentor junior engineers and collaborate cross-functionally Preferred Qualifications • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field • Experience with Agile methodologies • Skill in mentoring and developing junior talent • Expertise in data visualization and AI/ML integration • Demonstrated leadership in complex data projects.
