SR. DATA ENGINEER | REMOTE (EST)
The Select Group is looking for a talented Sr. Data Engineer to join one of our top pharmaceutical partners to support the buildout of multiple new brand launches, drive data mastering efforts, and address existing technical data analysis debt. This role is essential in accelerating data workflows, improving data quality, and enabling scalable, automated reporting solutions across the enterprise.
PROJECT DETAILS
We are seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to support a critical data initiative for a large pharmaceutical company. This project will focus on building out the data infrastructure and workflows required to support upcoming brand launches, while also leading efforts around data mastering and resolving technical debt tied to prior data analysis efforts. The engineer will work closely with stakeholders to understand complex business requirements and translate them into scalable, high-performance data solutions. Responsibilities include optimizing data pipelines, developing automated reporting assets, and ensuring the integrity and consistency of key data domains. This work is central to driving operational efficiency, enhancing data reliability, and enabling faster, insight-driven decision-making across the organization.
Sr. Data Engineer Requirements
β’ Proven experience working as a Senior Data Engineer in enterprise environments
β’ Strong proficiency in SQL and python for data transformation and scripting
β’ Hands-on experience with Snowflake for cloud-based data warehousing
β’ Expertise in DBT (Data Build Tool) for data modeling and pipeline development
β’ Experience building and orchestrating workflows using Apache Airflow
β’ Ability to work cross-functionally with business and technical stakeholders
β’ Strong understanding of data governance, quality, and performance optimization
Sr. Data Engineer Responsibilities
β’ Design and build scalable data pipelines to support brand launches
β’ Lead data mastering and quality improvement initiatives
β’ Address and resolve technical data analysis debt
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data solutions
β’ Develop automated reporting and data integration workflows
