Role description
Location: Must currently reside in the LA area.
Schedule: Hybrid β 4 days onsite per week
Terms: 6+ month contract - W2 only

Overview
The team is building a new Snowflake-based data platform focused on financial planning, technology spend, operational reporting, and analytics. This role will help design, build, automate, and optimize scalable enterprise data solutions supporting cross-functional business and technology teams.
Responsibilities
β’ Design, build, automate, and maintain scalable data pipelines bringing together financial and operational data into Snowflake
β’ Develop robust data models and semantic layers to support reporting and analytics
β’ Write performant SQL and Python code to automate allocation engines, cost pool processing, and service-level analytics
β’ Partner closely with product managers, finance teams, AI/ML engineers, and QA teams
β’ Utilize orchestration/workflow tools such as DBT, Airflow, and Snowflake Tasks
β’ Implement reconciliation processes, data quality checks, and IT controls
β’ Support ongoing platform optimization, tuning, and operational support
Required Qualifications
β’ 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
β’ Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake
β’ Advanced SQL expertise including CTEs, window functions, data modeling, and transformations
β’ Python experience for ETL/ELT, automation, or analytics
β’ Experience building scalable and maintainable enterprise data pipelines
β’ Experience working with financial datasets, cost allocation models, planning, spend, or recovery models
β’ Familiarity with DBT, Airflow, or similar orchestration tools
β’ Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP, ServiceNow, Cognos Planning, Clarity, etc.
β’ Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience with Snowflake Cortex AI
β’ Familiarity with Technology Business Management (TBM) frameworks/methodologies
β’ Strong understanding of corporate finance and accounting processes
Education
β’ STEM Bachelorβs Degree plus 5+ years of relevant experience
